Course Objectives:
This course is designed to train school bus drivers on the knowledge and skills required to effectively identify and report perceived “Security Threats,” as well as to appropriately react to actual security incidents if they occur.

Approximately Course Length:
Two to Three hours ~ Depending on the Course

COURSE 1: Risk Assessment Format: Recognizing, Policies and Procedures

COURSE 2: School Security & Safety Targets: Schools, School Buses, District Facilities, Staff and Students

COURSE 3: Identifying and Reporting Unusual Behavior, Vehicles

COURSE 4: Previous Terrorist Attacks on Schools and what we learned

COURSE 5: Reacting and Reporting on Suspicious Items, Dangerous Substances, Devices and Sounds

COURSE 6: Crisis Planning (School Districts & Schools) - Evacuating, Relocating or Sheltering in Place

COURSE 7: Handling Conflicts, Acts of Violence on the Bus, and Hostage Situations

COURSE 8: Legislation, Legal Actions and Security Recommendations
